Beleeg vs Playpass
By Michael Montalbano, founder of Beleeg · Last updated
Beleeg runs the whole adult league free for the organizer, with a flat $3 per online payment instead of a percentage: the schedule, captain lineups, scores the other captain confirms, standings, RSVPs, sign-ups, and dues in one place, and we do the import for you. Playpass fits better if you need Swiss brackets, court bookings, or recurring memberships.
Both have a free plan, both build round-robin schedules and keep standings, and both send money to your own Stripe account. Playpass takes a percentage of each online payment (3% on its free plan) on top of Stripe’s fee. Beleeg keeps a flat $3, so it costs more on small fees and less on large ones.

Who Beleeg fits
- Your league plays team matches court by court (tennis, pickleball, platform tennis, padel) and captains set lineups and report scores.
- Your fees are large enough that a flat $3 beats a percentage. On a $200 fee, 3% is $6; Beleeg keeps $3.
- You want captains to confirm or dispute each other’s scores, and to agree on moving a match.
- You want someone to move your league in for you.
Questions people ask about Beleeg and Playpass
What is a good Playpass alternative for an adult league?
For an adult league run by captains, Beleeg is a free Playpass alternative: it builds the schedule, lets captains set lineups and report scores from their phones, and updates the standings on its own. Both send registration money to your own Stripe account.
The main difference is the fee. Playpass keeps a percentage of each online payment, 3% on its free plan and less on paid plans from $9 to $99 a month, on top of Stripe’s card fee, according to its pricing page on September 29, 2026. Beleeg has no paid plans for organizers and keeps a flat $3 per online payment.
Playpass fits better if you need Swiss brackets, court bookings, or recurring memberships.
Which costs less, Playpass or Beleeg?
Beleeg costs less when your registration fee is over $100, the same at $100, and more below it. On Beleeg the organizer gives up a flat $3 plus Stripe’s card fee; on Playpass’s free plan, 3% of each online payment plus Stripe’s card fee.
On a $200 fee, 3% is $6 and Beleeg keeps $3; on a $40 fee, 3% is $1.20. Playpass’s paid plans, $9 to $99 a month, lower the percentage. Beleeg has no monthly price, and cash payments cost nothing.
Can I move my league from Playpass to Beleeg?
Yes. Send us your teams, players, and schedule as a spreadsheet and we run the first import into Beleeg for you. Scores already played do not carry over, so start the standings from where you are, or start fresh with your next season.
When Playpass is the better fit
- You run tournaments that need Swiss brackets. Beleeg has single elimination, double elimination, consolation, three-match guarantee, and round robin.
- You rent out courts or fields by the hour or sell recurring memberships. Beleeg does neither of these.
